The North Carolina Tar Heels took care of business on Saturday night in Chapel Hill, beating Virginia Tech for their third-straight win. With the win, UNC now controls its own destiny in terms of getting a double bye in the ACC Tournament.

As UNC prepares for the final week of the regular season, it is set to host Clemson on Tuesday before traveling to Duke to face off against the No. 1 Blue Devils. But they could be getting some good news in terms of a big injury.

Following the win over the Hokies, head coach Hubert Davis was asked about star freshman Caleb Wilson and his status as of now. Davis said that Wilson is moving in the right direction and that he doesn't have his cast on.

*“Yeah, there is an update. He doesn’t have his cast on anymore, and can’t do anything five on five, but he can do individual workouts, and he can dribble, shoot, he can do everything, just nothing on contact. So that’s a huge benefit for us. He’s out of the cast and being able to work out.”*

“Moving in the right direction. So, he worked out the day before the game, and just was dribbling, shooting, catching, like normal.”

That's certainly good news for Wilson who has targeted the March 7th game at Duke for his return.

North Carolina is 4-1 in games that Wilson has missed with the lone loss coming at NC State. The Tar Heels found a way to battle through it along with missing Henri Veesaar for a few games as well.
